Job description

A Mould Maintenance Engineer responsible for ensuring proper upkeep, repair, and performance optimization of moulds used in Injection Molding operations. The role includes preventive and corrective maintenance, mould changeover support, troubleshooting mould-related issues, and ensuring mould reliability for continuous production.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Preventive, Predictive, and Corrective Maintenance of injection moulds.
• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mould damages, wear, flash issues, leaks, alignment problems, and parting line defects.
• Ensure proper assembly, disassembly, cleaning, polishing, and reconditioning of mould components.
• Maintain mould performance through core, cavity, slider, ejector pin, and cooling channel maintenance.
• Track and maintain mould life cycles, history cards, maintenance records, and breakdown reports.
• Support mould changeovers, setup, tryouts, and ensure proper installation in machines.
• Monitor mould performance and coordinate with production & quality to resolve dimensional, aesthetic, or functional defects.
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement mould modifications, refurbishments, and upgrades.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, mould handling procedures, and proper usage of lifting tools and equipment.
• Maintain workplace organization through 5S practices, tool management, and proper storage of moulds and accessories.
• Coordinate with vendors for mould repairs, spare parts, and refurbishment workwhen necessary.
• Support new mould commissioning, validation, and sampling activities.
• Collaborate with the engineering team for design feedback, DFMEA inputs, and mould performance optimization.
• Ensure availability of required spares, consumables, and critical components for mould maintenance.
