Job summary

Gold Seal SaarGummi India Pvt Ltd is seeking a seasoned Electrical Maintenance Technician to manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across plant electrical systems. You will troubleshoot EPDM extrusion and related production machinery, maintain MCC/PCC panels, motors, VFDs, PLCs, and sensors, and ensure rapid fault resolution to minimise downtime.

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 28 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in automotive, rubber, plastics, or manufacturing industries.
• Hands-on experience in EPDM extrusion, rubber mixing, moulding, or similar production machinery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant electrical systems and machinery.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in EPDM extrusion, rubber mixing, moulding, and other production equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot MCC, PCC, control panels, motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, relays, contactors, and electrical circuits.
• Attend machine breakdowns and ensure quick restoration with minimum production downtime.
• Conduct routine inspection of motors, panels, cables, electrical connections, heaters, and control systems.
• Carry out electrical testing including insulation resistance, continuity, and earthing checks.
• Support machine installation, commissioning, electrical modifications, and improvement projects.
• Troubleshoot basic PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, sensor, and automation-related issues.
• Maintain electrical systems for compressors, chillers, pumps, DG sets, HVAC, STP, lighting, and other utilities.
• Implement and maintain LOTO, electrical safety, PPE, and safe maintenance practices.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, breakdown reports, machine history, and electrical records.
• Identify recurring failures and conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor electrical energy consumption and support energy-saving initiatives.
• Maintain adequate stock of critical electrical spare parts and coordinate with suppliers/OEMs.
• Support 5S, EHS, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and internal/external audit requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve machine availability and reliability.
• Willingness to work in shift operations and emergency breakdown situations
