Job summary

JobItUs in India seeks a machine technician to perform chip removal and disposal, troubleshoot and repair software-controlled electro-mechanical systems, and maintain mechanical equipment such as pumps, chillers and gearboxes, gas burners, ovens, and vacuum systems. You will use precision tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators) and complete preventive maintenance to ensure uptime.

Daily coordination with machinists, parts suppliers and support staff will help resolve issues and support

Responsibilities

• Machine chip removal and disposal
• Troubleshoots and repairs software controlled electro-mechanical systems
• Coordinates administrative activities
• Troubleshoot, repair and overhaul of mechanical systems like, pumps, chillers, gearboxes
• Provide maintenance on various equipment, gas burners, various ovens, vacuum systems, brake press, roll form, friction stir weld, spin lathe
• Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul mechanical systems like pumps, chillers, gearboxes
• Possess full knowledge of all standard measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, comparators and various plug/thread gauges blueprint reading
• Completing periodic machine tool preventative maintenance to ensure machine availability and reliable performance
• Interfacing daily with machinists, replacement part providers, support staff and management to quickly resolve equipment issues and implement future capital
• Other production oriented tasks (product assembly, tool grinding, welding, machining) as schedule permits
