Job summary

Polyplastics Group in India seeks a skilled electrical maintenance technician to manage maintenance of industrial machinery, troubleshoot PLC, HMI, VFD, sensors, and control panels, and develop PLC programs for automation.

The role covers robotics, injection moulding machines, preventive and predictive maintenance, safety procedures, and close collaboration with production to maximize machine availability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical and electronic maintenance of industrial machinery.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC, HMI, VFD, sensors, and control panels.
• Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs for automation.
• Hands-on with robotic systems and preventive maintenance.
• Operate and troubleshoot injection moulding machines.
• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot servo motors, drives, sensors, safety circuits.
• Maintain electrical panels, MCCs, and power distribution.
• Record breakdowns and maintenance history; follow safety procedures.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machines.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for electrical and electronic maintenance, troubleshooting, and breakdown rectification of industrial machinery.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLC, HMI, VFD, sensors, control panels, relays, contactors, and industrial automation systems.
• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for machine automation and process improvement.
• Handle robotic systems, including basic programming, troubleshooting, teaching, and preventive maintenance.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot injection moulding machines, including electrical, hydraulic, and control-related issues.
• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize machine downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot servo motors, drives, temperature controllers, proximity sensors, limit switches, and safety circuits.
• Maintain and troubleshoot industrial utilities such as compressors, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and related electrical systems.
• Monitor machine performance and identify recurring failures; implement root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain electrical panels, MCCs, control panels, power distribution systems, and machine wiring.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to ensure maximum machine availability and smooth production operations.
• Maintain records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance activities, spare parts, and equipment history.
• Follow electrical safety, LOTO, machine safety, and preventive maintenance procedures.
