ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently according to standard operating procedures when required.
• Conduct regular machine maintenance checks, troubleshoot issues, and report necessary repairs to the supervisor or maintenance team.
• Monitor the production process, adjust machine settings as needed, and rectify production errors to maintain quality control standards.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required specifications and standards.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Record and report operational data, including quantities produced, materials used, and any incidents or issues during production.
• Collaborate with staff to meet maintenance and production goals.
• Oversee, schedule, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems within the facility.
• Supervise the maintenance team, ensuring tasks are performed accurately, efficiently, and safely.
• Inspect and assess the functionality of production systems, machines, and equipment to identify issues and plan necessary repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving of maintenance issues.
• Develop and implement a regular maintenance schedule for all machinery and equipment.
• Prepare and present maintenance reports and other documentation as required.
• Coordinate with other departments to identify maintenance needs and schedule repairs.
• Contribute to the budget development for the maintenance department, including the procurement of equipment and supplies.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with electrical PLC & AC/DC drives.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and machine operation.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and production specifications.
• General experience in Maintenance or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of machinery, equipment, and systems used in manufacturing.
• Proficient in using tools and equipment for maintenance and repair.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the industry.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
• Basic math and computer skills for recording production data.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a production environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

• Certificate or diploma in a related technical field.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Forklift certification.
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, though on-the-job training will be provided.
