Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years hands-on CPVC pipe extrusion operations experience.
• Practical experience operating CPVC extrusion machines.
• Good understanding of extrusion process parameters and machine settings.
• Knowledge of CPVC pipe production processes and quality requirements.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic extrusion process issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CPVC pipe extrusion machines as per production requirements.
• Set and maintain extrusion process parameters including temperature, pressure, speed and other operating conditions.
• Ensure consistent production of CPVC pipes as per specified quality and dimensional standards.
• Monitor the complete extrusion process and identify abnormalities at an early stage.
• Carry out machine start-up, shutdown and changeover activities safely and efficiently.
• Monitor raw material feeding, extrusion, sizing, cooling, haul-off and cutting operations.
• Ensure proper functioning of extrusion line equipment during production.
• Identify and report machine/process abnormalities and coordinate with the maintenance team for corrective action.
• Minimize material wastage and production losses through proper machine operation and process control.
• Conduct routine checks of finished pipes for dimensions, appearance and other required parameters.
• Maintain production records, machine parameters and shift reports accurately.
• Follow production schedules and achieve assigned production targets.
• Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards around the extrusion machine and production area.
• Follow all safety procedures and operating instructions while handling machinery.
• Coordinate effectively with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams.
• Ensure proper handover of machine status, production details and issues to the next shift.

Preferred candidate profile

3 TO 5 years of hands-on experience in CPVC pipe extrusion operations.

Practical experience operating CPVC extrusion machines.

Good understanding of extrusion process parameters and machine settings.

Knowledge of CPVC pipe production processes and quality requirements.

Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic extrusion process issues.

Good understanding of production targets, wastage control and machine efficiency.

Ability to work in shifts.

Strong focus on safety, quality and productivity

Qualification

Diploma in Extruder Operations or equivalent technical qualification.
