Job summary

Aliaxis is seeking an experienced technical leader to drive PVC/CPVC/OPVC extrusion projects across India. You will shape technical specifications for extrusion lines, lead equipment selection, and oversee installation, commissioning, and ramp-up with OEMs and internal teams.

You will review formulations, optimize production processes, and support sites to improve OEE, throughput, and product quality while championing VA/VE initiatives and change management through MOC/PCN/ECN.

• Experience in VA/VE projects and cost optimization initiatives.
• Leadership and team management across cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with ISO, ASTM,BIS standards for plastic piping systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical inputs for business cases related to PVC, CPVC, and OPVC pipe manufacturing projects.
• Define and develop technical specifications for extrusion lines and downstream equipment.
• Conduct supplier evaluation and selection for machinery procurement in greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Lead installation, commissioning, stabilization, and ramp-up of extrusion lines across locations with OEMs and internal teams.
• Review formulations and monitor compounding processes for new projects.
• Establish and optimize pipe production processes to achieve throughput, efficiency, and quality.
• Provide technical support for operational excellence initiatives across PAN India manufacturing plants (OEE, throughput, waste reduction).
• Drive VA/VE initiatives including plant trials, validation activities, and change management processes (MOC, PCN, ECN).
• Evaluate and implement modern extrusion technologies, automation, and process innovations.
• Ensure ISO/IMS quality standards and safety across projects and operations.

Job description

Roles and Responsibility:

• Provide technical inputs for preparing business cases related to PVC, CPVC, and OPVC pipe manufacturing projects.
• Define and develop technical specifications for extrusion lines and downstream equipment , including Belling Machines, CNC Lathes, Slotting Machines, and other ancillary systems.
• Conduct technical evaluation, supplier assessment, and selection for machinery procurement in greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Lead installation, commissioning, stabilization, and ramp-up of extrusion lines across locations, ensuring adherence to committed cost, quality, and timeline objectives in collaboration with OEMs, Procurement, Projects, and Plant teams.
• Review formulations and monitor compounding processes for new project implementations.
• Establish and optimize pipe production processes to achieve targeted throughput, efficiency, and product quality in coordination with OEMs and plant teams.
• Provide technical support to PAN India manufacturing plants for operational excellence initiatives focused on:
• Improving OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
• Increasing throughput
• Reducing waste and rejections
• Enhancing product quality and process reliability
• Identify and drive cost optimization initiatives through Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VA/VE) methodologies, including plant trials, validation activities, and implementation through established change management processes such as MOC, PCN, and ECN.
• Evaluate and implement modern extrusion technologies, automation solutions, and process innovations to improve productivity, quality, and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IMS standards, quality systems, and safety requirements across project and operational activities.

• Expansion and enhancement of PVC pipe manufacturing capacity across existing plants, new facilities, and subcontractor locations.

Skills and Competencies
