Job summary

Epiq India Support Services in Chennai is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate CNC Milling and CNC Turning machines independently, read drawings, and perform program editing and offset corrections as required.

You will set tools, offsets, work holding and cutting parameters, inspect parts with Vernier and Micrometer, ensure quality and document production records, while following safety procedures. Senior roles may handle complete CNC setup and end-to-end production.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Milling / CNC Turning machines independently.
• Perform machine setting as per drawing and production requirements.
• Set tools, offsets, work holding and cutting parameters.
• Read and understand engineering drawings and dimensions.
• Perform program editing and offset corrections when required.
• Carry out in-process inspection using Vernier, Micrometer and other measuring instruments.
• Ensure components are produced as per quality and dimensional requirements.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic machine / tooling issues.
• Maintain proper production and quality records.
• Follow safety procedures and production targets.
• For senior positions, independently handle the complete CNC setup, operation and production process.
