Job summary

AEROPACT PRECISION MACHINING PRIVATE LIMITED in Tamil Nadu is seeking a skilled CNC Turning Operator to set up, load programs, and run CNC turning centers to produce high-precision metal components according to technical drawings.

The role covers machine setup, tool handling, offset adjustments, tool wear monitoring, and in-process inspection using micrometers and calipers to ensure dimensional accuracy. The ideal candidate will work on a shift and help achieve production and quality targets.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC Turning Centers to produce high-precision parts per drawings.
• Complete machine setup including work-holding, tool mounting, offsets, and tool wear adjustments.
• Load and verify CNC programs; adjust offsets for smooth, accurate production.
• Ensure production runs smoothly and meet daily targets with minimal cycle time.
• Inspect finished components using micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges for accuracy.
• Monitor tool condition and life; replace or adjust tools as needed.
• Do daily machine checks: coolant, lubrication levels, and other basic conditions.
• Independently set and operate CNC turning machines during shift to meet production and quality targets.

Job description

• Machine Setting & Operation: Set and operate CNC Turning Centers to produce high-precision metal components according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Setting & Tooling: Perform complete machine setup, including work-holding arrangement, tool mounting, tool offset setting, program loading, and tool wear offset adjustments.
• Program & Process: Load and verify CNC programs and make necessary offset adjustments to ensure smooth and accurate production.
• Production Efficiency: Ensure the production process runs smoothly and achieve daily production targets with minimum cycle time.
• Quality Inspection: Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments such as Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, and Gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Tool Management: Monitor tool condition, tool life, and replace or adjust tools as required during production.
• Machine Maintenance Support: Perform basic daily machine checks, including monitoring Coolant levels, Lubrication (Lube) oil levels, and other basic machine conditions.
• Shift Responsibility: Capable of independently setting and operating CNC Turning machines during the assigned shift and ensuring production and quality requirements are met.
