Job summary

Modern Ballistic seeks a Senior M365 Engineer to lead administration of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune across diverse devices. You will implement Defender, Purview, Entra ID, and Zero Trust controls while driving automation with PowerShell and Graph API.

You will also configure security baselines, compliance policies, and device management through Autopilot, MDM, and CA policies, ensuring robust governance and threat protection.

Qualifications

• Experience administering and securing Microsoft 365 workloads.
• Hands-on with Autopilot, MAM/MDM, and Conditional Access.
• Strong scripting and API automation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot Exchange Online mail flow and retention policies.
• Manage SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and collaboration governance.
• Configure Defender for Office 365 and threat protection.
• Manage Purview solutions including eDiscovery and DLP.

M365 Senior Engineer Key Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot Exchange Online, mail flow, transport rules, retention policies, and mailbox issues.
• Manage SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, permissions, sharing controls, and collaboration governance.
• Configure and maintain Microsoft Defender for Office 365, threat protection, phishing controls, and security investigations.
• Manage Microsoft Purview solutions including eDiscovery, Litigation Hold, DLP, Insider Risk, and data governance.
• Administer Microsoft Intune for Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and BYOD device management.
• Configure compliance policies, configuration profiles, security baselines, Conditional Access, and endpoint security controls.
• Manage Autopilot deployments, application packaging/deployment, Windows Update for Business, and device lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot device enrolment, compliance, application deployment, MDM/MAM, and endpoint security issues.
• Maintain Azure AD Connect, Entra ID, MFA, Enterprise Applications, consent governance, and Zero Trust controls.
• Develop PowerShell/Graph API automation, reporting solutions, technical documentation, and L1/L2 operational processes.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, Defender, Purview, and Entra ID.
• Hands-on experience with Autopilot, Compliance Policies, Configuration Profiles, MAM/MDM, Endpoint Security, and Conditional Access.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, automation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Azure AD Connect, Enterprise App governance, and security posture management.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks, threat analysis, Zero Trust, and Microsoft 365 security best practices.
