Job summary

GE Vernova in India is seeking a logistics professional to manage transportation and related logistics for goods and services to internal and external customers.

You will define transport plans, select carriers, and coordinate loads, working within established procedures to ensure timely delivery.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and basic experience in Logistics & Transport; relocation assistance is available for this role.

Qualifications

• Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Required Qualifications

• For roles outside of the USA- This role requires basic experience in the Logistics & Transport. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).


• For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

Desired Characteristics

• Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
