Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics in Delhi, India, is seeking a Freight Documentation Specialist to prepare shipping documents, track shipments, and ensure compliant export declarations. You will coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to maintain timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 7 years related experience in logistics.
• Minimum 5 years industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documentation, dock receipts, bills of lading, export declarations.
• File SEDs (Shippers Export Declarations).
• Track and trace cargo to ensure proper movement and delivery.
• Provide billing information to accounting accurately.
• Communicate with clients regarding freight disposition and rate quotes.
• Coordinate with vendors on dispatch, routing, pricing, and rates.
• Liaise with other branches and agents to ensure service quality.
• Identify the most profitable shipment mode while meeting client requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• 1. Prepare documentation, dock receipts, bills of lading, export declarations.
• 2. File SED’s (Shippers Export Declarations)
• 3. Track and trace cargo as necessary to insure proper movement and delivery.
• 4. Provide accounting department with proper and correct billing information.
• 5. Communicate with clients regarding disposition of Freight (i.e. tracking & tracing, routing & dispatching, and rate quotations).
• 6. Communicate with vendors/suppliers regarding shipment dispatch, routing, pricing, and rates.
• 7. Communicate & correspond with other Company branches and agents for client satisfaction and ensure excellent service execution.
• 8. Seek the most profitable mode of shipment yet meet client’s requirement for the movement of freight.
• 9. Other duties as assigned

Other Skills and Abilities:

• 1. Knowledge of the Import/Export industry preferred.
• 2. Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate (verbally and intuitively) effectively with both clients and internal personnel.
• 3. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• 4. Must be career-oriented, hard-working, quick learner and have excellent recall for past events/situations/numbers.
• 5. Strong knowledge of computers (MS Word and MS Excel)
