Job summary

AMARDEEP STEEL CENTRE LLP is seeking a logistics professional to oversee end-to-end shipments across road, rail, and sea, ensuring timely delivery of steel products. You will coordinate dispatches, monitor loading and unloading, and keep precise records in Tally.

The role requires deep knowledge of freight management, E-Invoicing, and shipping documentation, with strong coordination across warehousing, production, procurement, sales, and finance to optimize costs and performance.

Qualifications

• 34 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations, preferably in steel.
• Strong understanding of transportation planning, freight management, and dispatch operations.
• Knowledge of vehicle types, load capacities, route planning, and logistics cost management.
• Experience in E-Invoicing, E-Way Bill generation, and logistics documentation.
• Working knowledge of Tally and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Understanding of export/import processes and shipping documentation will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound shipments through road, rail, and sea transportation.
• Plan and coordinate dispatches for steel products across locations.
• Monitor loading, unloading, and transportation activities to ensure timely deliveries.
• Track shipments and proactively resolve transportation-related issues.
• Generate and maintain E-Invoices, E-Way Bills, invoices, PODs (Proof of Delivery), and logistics documentation.
• Handle export/import documentation and coordinate with relevant agencies when required.
• Maintain accurate logistics records and reports in Tally.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with transporters, freight forwarders, CHAs, and logistics service providers.
• Negotiate freight rates and transportation contracts to achieve cost optimization.
• Prepare freight comparison sheets and vendor performance reports.
• Maintain inventory movement records and dispatch tracking reports.
• Coordinate with warehouse, production, procurement, sales, and finance teams for smooth operations.
• Monitor transportation costs, vehicle utilization, turnaround time, and delivery performance.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
