Job Summary

We are looking for a Linux and Oracle Support Engineer to provide application and database support in a production environment. The candidate should have strong Linux administration exposure and working knowledge of Oracle databases. This is a support-focused role and does not require core Oracle DBA administration experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and support Linux-based production environments.
• Perform application support activities and troubleshoot production issues.
• Execute routine Oracle database support activities.
• Monitor database jobs, backups, logs, and system health.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, alerts, and service requests.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and database teams for issue resolution.
• Perform basic SQL queries for troubleshooting and data validation.
• Support deployment, patching, and maintenance activities.
• Create and maintain operational documentation and SOPs.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs and incident management processes.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience in Oracle database support activities.
• Good understanding of SQL queries and database concepts.
• Experience in production support or application support roles.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with incident and change management processes.

Preferred Skills

• Basic shell scripting knowledge.
• Exposure to monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Experience supporting banking or financial applications.
• Understanding of Oracle database architecture and database monitoring.

• This is an Oracle Support role and not a core Oracle DBA Administration position.
• Candidates with production support and Linux support backgrounds are highly preferred.
