Lauren Information Technologies Pvt Ltd in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to manage enterprise Linux environments. The role requires hands-on administration of RHEL/CentOS/Oracle Linux/Ubuntu, scripting, and system optimization.

You will handle user management, file systems, and monitoring, with emphasis on security patching and uptime. The position is based in Airoli (Navi Mumbai) and is office-based, with a 15-day to immediate join notice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of Linux administration experience.
• Proficient with RHEL/CentOS/Oracle Linux/Ubuntu distributions.
• Strong shell scripting and Linux command skills.
• Hands-on with LVM, NFS, ACLs, and patch management.
• Experience with incident, change, and problem management (ITIL advantageous).

Work Model - Work from office.

Role & responsibilities:

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of RHEL / CentOS / Oracle Linux / Ubuntu or similar Linux distributions.
• Good knowledge of Linux commands and shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • User and group administration
  • File permissions and ACL
  • LVM and filesystem management
  • NFS and mounts
  • Package management using YUM/DNF/RPM/APT
  • System and service management
  • Cron jobs and scheduling
  • Process and performance troubleshooting
  • Log monitoring and analysis
  • SSH and remote administration
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, and networking concepts.
• Knowledge of server monitoring and alert management tools.
• Experience with Linux patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Good troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• ITIL/process knowledge and experience working with Incident, Problem, and Change Management will be an added advantage.
