Job summary

CloudStepIn in Hyderabad is seeking a proactive Linux Administrator with 2+ years of hands‑on experience to manage, secure and optimize Linux‑based systems across production and development environments.

Install and maintain Linux servers, monitor health and logs, perform backups, automate tasks with Shell/Python, and ensure security hardening, high availability and documentation. The role offers a dynamic, tech‑driven environment with opportunities to work across multiple stacks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Linux systems administration.
• Strong understanding of Linux OS, file systems, boot process and CLI.
• Experience with server hardening, firewalls (iptables, firewalld) and SELinux/AppArmor.
• Scripting experience (Bash, Python).
• Knowledge of web servers (Apache/Nginx), databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and DNS services.
• Familiarity with virtualization or cloud platforms (VMware, AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Good troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills.
• Certifications like RHCSA, RHCE or Linux+ are a plus.

Responsibilities
