Job summary

Algoleap Technologies Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to manage and support Redhat Linux servers, including provisioning, hardening, patching and day-to-day operations. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with server provisioning and security practices.

The candidate should be familiar with log monitoring, incident/change management, LDAP, NFS and Ansible automation, with a focus on uptime and security compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level IT/CS background required.
• Solid understanding of Redhat Linux environments.
• Hands-on in OS hardening and security patching.
• Experience with sudo and ACL configurations.
• Experience in OS migration and patch management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sufficient OS disk/space and resources.
• Regular purging of logs per security policy.
• Apply proactive patch upgrades as recommended.
• Monitor performance using approved metrics and tools.
• Coordinate with vendors for patches, firmware updates and OS changes.
• Follow incident/change management processes as per customer policy.
• Triage OS logs and tune reporting mechanisms.
• Handover/takeover during shift changes.
• Knowledge of Redhat cluster Suite – Pacemaker, RHEV.
• Basic LDAP, NFS, user management and Ansible automation.

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in managing and supporting Linux Servers including new server provisioning, Hardening, patching in day-to-day operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. 1) Ensure that appropriate space is available in the Operating system.
2. 2) Regular proactive purging of Log files as per the CUSTOMER Security Policy. The frequency as well as the files to be purged has to be recommended by the Customer Security
3. 3) Implement Proactive patch upgrades, if any, recommendation from RHEL
4. 4) Performance monitoring as per the mutually agreed metrics between Customer and HP using the tool made available by Customer.
5. 5) End to end coordination with the Red hat, HP backend & Customer teams for the proactive patches/OS patches/upgrades, Firmware updates, Installation/reinstallation, configuration/reconfiguration, corrective & preventive maintenance as per the terms Mentioned in the SLA.
6. 6) Proper follow-up for Incident/Change management as per the defined policy by CUSTOMER
7. 9) Monitor the Operating system logs for any errors in the operating system and escape, Accordingly. The reporting from the tool provided by CUSTOMER has to be tuned by the tool owner as Per recommendation by HP team.
8. 10) Needful Handover & Takeover of shift switching.
9. 11) Basic understanding on Redhat cluster Suite –Pacemaker, RHEV
10. 12 Basic understanding on ldap., NFS, user management, permission, Automation with Ansible skill
11. 12) OS installation and configuration related to network and application.
