Job summary

LEDFlex Group is seeking a Lighting System Design Engineer to design, plan and execute lighting projects. You will work with senior engineers, clients, and contractors to deliver high-quality lighting solutions that meet performance standards and client expectations.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in lighting engineering, strong AutoCAD skills, and a Diploma or degree in electrical/electronics. The role is based in Hyderabad and offers opportunities for growth in a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Design & Planning: develop detailed lighting system designs, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Technical Support: diagnose and resolve issues related to LED drivers, control systems (DALI, DMX), and wiring.
• Documentation: maintain records of drawings, BOQs, progress reports and specs.
• Collaboration: work with engineers, clients and contractors through all project phases.

You will work closely with senior engineers, clients, and contractors to deliver efficient, high-quality lighting solutions that meet performance standards and client expectations. Roles and Responsibilities

Design & Planning:

• Develop detailed lighting system designs, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Assist in preparing and revising Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bills of Materials (BOM) based on feedback.

Technical Support:

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to LED drivers, control systems (DALI, DMX), and wiring configurations.
• Perform system testing and validation to ensure compliance with performance standards and specifications.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including drawings, BOQs, progress reports, and technical specifications.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with senior engineers, clients, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Provide technical expertise and support during all project phases, from planning to installation and commissioning.

Key Skills Required

Technical Skills:

• Fundamental understanding of lighting systems, including LED technology, control protocols (DALI, DMX), and circuitry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Qualification & Experience

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a Lighting Engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience in the Lighting or Electrical industry is essential.
