Job summary

LEDFlex Hyderabad is seeking a Lighting System Design Engineer to design, plan, and deliver lighting projects for UK and international markets.

You will work with senior engineers, clients and contractors, developing detailed layouts, testing concepts, and ensuring compliance with performance standards while supporting project documentation and coordination.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Lighting or related field.
• Experience in the Lighting or Electrical industry is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design detailed lighting system layouts and schematics using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to LED drivers, control systems (DALI, DMX), and wiring.
• Maintain project documentation, drawings, BOQs, progress reports, and technical specs.
• Collaborate with clients, senior engineers, and contractors through all project phases.

Role Overview

LEDFlex Group was established in 2010 after identifying a gap in the market for a more comprehensive range of linear lighting products and has now grown into a leading technology supplier. We design, develop and manufacture LED lighting solutions for the UK and International markets. At LEDFlex we continue to lead the way in performance, efficiency and ecological friendly exterior and interior projects.

We are seeking a Lighting System Design Engineer to assist in designing, planning, and executing lighting projects. You will work closely with senior engineers, clients, and contractors to deliver efficient, high-quality lighting solutions that meet performance standards and client expectations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, technical challenges, and contributing to cutting-edge projects.

Roles and Responsibilities

Design & Planning

• Develop detailed lighting system designs, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD or similar software.

Technical Support

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to LED drivers, control systems (DALI, DMX),and wiring configurations.

• Perform system testing and validation to ensure compliance with performance standards and specifications.

Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including drawings, BOQs, progress reports, and technical specifications.

Collaboration

• Work closely with senior engineers, clients, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.

• Provide technical expertise and support during all project phases, from planning to installation and commissioning.

Key Skills Required

Technical Skills

• Fundamental understanding of lighting systems, including LED technology, control protocols (DALI, DMX), and circuitry.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
