Job summary

Rheinmetall in India is seeking a Testing and Validation specialist for the Power Systems division. The role focuses on testing expertise, teardown analysis, and leadership in coordinating with internal teams and external agencies to ensure emission and performance compliance.

The candidate will conduct testing reviews, validate designs, set up testing equipment, analyze returns, and collaborate with the Germany team to deliver robust validation processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in testing and validation of products and systems.
• Knowledge of vibration analysis and testing methods.
• Familiarity with DFMEA and failure analysis practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing reviews as per new product development process.
• Perform design and process validation for EM EGR and pneumatic valves.
• Understand engine and subsystem testing requirements.
• Set up and validate mechatronic and mechanical testing equipment.
• Analyze customer return parts and generate reports.
• Test newly developed parts per engineering specs and support application engineers.
• Develop fixtures and test plans, coordinating with the Germany testing team.
• Interface with customers for technical discussions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Support localization of parts and ensure compliance with emission norms.

Role & responsibilities

The role of the Testing and Validation is pivotal in driving the Testing function of Power Systems division within India mainly three functional areas viz.

• Testing Expertise & knowledge: Emission Norms, Testing of Internal combustion Engine and its emission components, able define the Testing & Validation plan &
• Tear down Analysis.
• Leadership & Communication: Guiding the team and managing stakeholders.
• Internal: All Engg department, Sourcing, Industrial Engineering, production engineering, Sales, Program Manager, Plant and Field Quality.
• External: Test agencies like SGS, ARAI, ICAT, AVL etc
• Market Intelligence & Networking: Able to connect with different automotive agencies and gather the details about future technology and testing methodology.
