Job summary

Adani Transmission (ATL) seeks a senior R&D leader to define and execute the long-term battery cell and energy storage technology roadmap. The role focuses on identifying cutting-edge materials, manufacturing innovations, and partnerships with research institutes to differentiate technology.

The candidate will guide development across Cylindrical, Prismatic, and Pouch chemistries, optimize cell performance, and drive IP and tech transfer to scale manufacturing. A PhD is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Long-term technology roadmap definition for battery cells and energy storage.
• Identify emerging battery technologies, materials, and manufacturing innovations.
• Drive R&D initiatives for next-generation Li-ion and advanced battery chemistries.
• Establish tech partnerships with research institutes, universities, and global providers.
• Lead intellectual property development, patents, and tech differentiation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of Cylindrical, Prismatic, and Pouch cell technologies.
• Guide cell chemistry selection, electrode design, electrolyte optimization, and performance enhancement.
• Establish benchmarks for energy density, cycle life, safety, and cost.
• Drive technology transfer from lab to commercial-scale manufacturing.

• B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• M.Tech/MS preferred.
• PhD in Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Energy Storage, or Battery Technology is highly desirable.

• Define and execute the long-term technology roadmap for battery cells and energy storage solutions.
• Identify emerging battery technologies, materials, and manufacturing innovations.
• Drive R&D initiatives for next-generation lithium-ion and advanced battery chemistries.
• Establish technology partnerships with research institutes, universities, and global technology providers.
• Lead intellectual property development, patents, and technology differentiation initiatives.
