Job summary

Majoris Training And Consulting is seeking a Lead Supply Planner to drive global inventory planning and governance from Coimbatore. The role focuses on optimizing inventory across regions, shaping planning processes, and enabling AI-assisted decision support for efficient procurement and replenishment.

You will analyze inventory positions, develop strategies for seasonal and promotional demand, and collaborate with demand planning and execution teams to deliver measurable improvements in service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, Analytics, Finance, or related field.
• APICS/CPIM certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Demand Planning, Procurement Planning, Replenishment, or Supply Chain Analytics.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience analyzing large data sets.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities.
• Experience supporting S&OP processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead global inventory planning activities across all regions.
• Develop inventory strategies for seasonal, everyday, and promotional demand.
• Analyze inventory positions, replenishment opportunities, and service level risks; identify imbalances and recommend corrective actions.
• Support inventory health initiatives focused on excess inventory reduction, stockout prevention, and inventory optimization.
• Develop purchasing recommendations considering demand, lead time, service level, and MOQ; evaluate global MOQ and support allocation decisions.
• Support container optimization, buy-timing decisions, and analyze inventory investment impacts.
• Participate in weekly/monthly planning reviews and monthly S&OP process; support Week 2 Supply & Buy Decision reviews.
• Develop planning scenarios, document key planning decisions and assumptions, and partner with demand planning and execution teams.
• Help define Supply Control Tower requirements, assist development of planning dashboards and operational reporting, and participate in KPI governance.
• Establish supply planning standards and operating procedures and support exception-based inventory management.
• Monitor supplier performance and supply chain risks; support supplier escalation and mitigation planning for disruptions.
• Develop actionable inventory and supply chain insights, analyze forecast vs. actual performance, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in implementation, testing, and validation of AI-enabled and automated planning solutions; help document planning rules and business logic.

The Role

Drive the transition to a globally governed planning operating model supported by advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled decision support. Responsible for shaping planning processes, global purchasing governance, execution visibility, and scalable planning capabilities to support North America, Europe, Australia, and future regions.
