Job summary

Qualifications

Job Title: Supply Planning Analyst / Senior Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a highly analytical and execution-focused Supply Planning Analyst with hands-on experience in the Supply Planning module. The role involves optimizing production, inventory, and distribution plans to ensure high service levels while minimising cost.

The candidate will work closely with Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, and Finance teams to support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes and ensure supply-demand alignment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Planning & Optimization

• Develop constrained and unconstrained supply plans using o9 platform.
• Create production, procurement, and distribution plans aligned with demand forecasts.
• Manage capacity planning (manufacturing, supplier, and logistics constraints).
• Perform what-if scenario analysis to evaluate supply risks and mitigation plans.
• Balance service levels, inventory targets, and cost optimization.

2. Configuration & System Management

• Configure supply planning models (constraints, BOMs, lead times, capacities).
• Build and maintain measures, KPIs, workflows, and alerts.
• Support end-to-end supply planning model deployment.
• Participate in o9 implementation or enhancement projects.
• Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with technical teams.

3. Inventory & Capacity Management

• Monitor inventory health (excess, obsolete, safety stock levels).
• Optimize safety stock parameters.
• Analyze production capacity utilization and bottlenecks.
• Work on network optimization initiatives.

4. S&OP / IBP Support

• Participate in monthly supply review meetings.
• Highlight supply risks, capacity gaps, and inventory concerns.
• Provide actionable insights for executive decision-making.
• Align supply plans with financial targets.

5. Data Analysis & Reporting

• Track KPIs such as service level, OTIF, inventory turns, and capacity utilization.
• Perform root cause analysis for shortages and excess inventory.
• Develop dashboards and reports in o9 and reporting tools.
• Ensure data accuracy and integration with ERP systems.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
• MBA (Operations/Supply Chain) preferred.

Experience

• 35 years of experience in Supply Planning / Production Planning.
• Hands-on experience with o9 and Supply Planning module.
• Experience in implementation, support, or transformation projects preferred.
• Exposure to S&OP / IBP processes.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of supply planning concepts (MRP, DRP, finite capacity planning).
• Experience configuring constraints, lead times, sourcing rules, and capacities.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or Python (preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Industry Experience

• FMCG / Retail / Manufacturing / Pharma / Automotive.
• Experience in global supply chain networks.
• APICS CPIM / CSCP certification preferred.
