You will drive platformization, own tech metrics, and collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into robust solutions. You will work in a fast-paced agile environment, solving complex problems, and contributing to the full software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong programming skills in Java and building microservices.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC and REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and SDLC.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with Product team to understand and refine requirements into tech specs.
• Drive technical roadmap focusing on platformization and generic components; own metrics like reliability and performance.
• Break requirements into components, estimate work, and plan iterations.
• Recommend software solutions to emerging needs in banking functionality and reporting.
• Solve complex problems with innovative solutions and take ownership of deliverables.

About the Role

M2P Fintech is looking for Lead Engineers to build scalable software systems that are high-performance, highly available, highly transactional, low latency and massively distributed. As part of a cross functional team, you will be working in a fast-paced and agile work environment delivering quality and innovative solutions that have immediate business impact. You will take the challenges and ownership that comes while developing a complex system. You will actively mentor junior engineers and guide them in top development practices and maintain a high-quality codes. You will also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.

What Will You Do in this Role

• Work with Product team to understand & refine the requirements and change them to tech requirements.
• Drive Technical roadmap focusing more on platformization, generic components and own tech metrics like product reliability, performance, and availability.
• Breaks down into components, identifies dependencies, understands priorities, plans for iterations and feature creeps, provides accurate estimates that feed into the larger plan.
• Recommend software solutions to emerging needs in banking functionality and report ability.
• Solve complex problems in an innovative way and deliver quality solutions while taking ownership and accountability of assigned things.
• Mentor and guide team members on everything from structured problem solving to development of best practices.

What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role

• B.E or B.Tech in Computer Science or any equivalent degree.
• Technical Skills: Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, REST APIs, familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design.
• Excellent coding skills with strong competencies in Data Structures, algorithms and their space-time complexities.
• Good problem-solving skills, coupled with strong analytical thinking and communication.
• Excellent debugging skills.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Working knowledge of architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
• Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle.
• Multi-tasking, prioritizing/ effective time management and eye for detail would be key skills required for this role.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Previous experience in Banking or Fintech or related field is a plus.
