M2P Fintech, a leading Banking Technology Platform, is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager (Java) in Chennai. You will drive groundbreaking initiatives, build and mentor a new SDE team, and partner with Leads, PEs, PMs, Risk Managers, TPMs and leadership to design and deliver scalable, low-latency services.

About the role

M2P Fintech is looking for a talented and experienced Senior EngineeringManager to drive new initiatives from scratch across cross functional teams andto rollout business transformational programs. In this role, you will build andgrow a new team of SDEs with the help of Leads. You and your team will workwith PEs, Product Managers, Risk Managers, TPMs and Senior Leadership todesign, develop and deliver results while fostering inputs and participationfrom all levels of the organization.

You will be the engineeringOwner for the products built by your teams. The services built will be highlyscalable, low latency, secured and massively distributed. You’ll be responsiblefor growing and mentoring engineers in your team, set the team culture. Youwill actively coach and provide feedback to your team members and invest intheir career growth. Your team will own the design, delivery, deployment andactively manage operations of the services built.

What will you do in this role

• Responsible for the overall development lifecycle of the solution – from conception to delivery to operations.
• Work with productmanagers in developing a strategy and road map to provide compellingcapabilities that helps them succeed in their business goals.
• Work closely with engineers to develop the besttechnical design and approach for new product development.
• Instill best practices for software developmentand documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-qualitywork on tight schedules.
• Partner and integrate with the best in market tobring is best in class embedded fintech features.
• Translate business requirements into technicalsolutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and leadengineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
• Solve complex problems in an innovative way anddeliver quality solutions while taking ownership and accountability of assignedthings.
• Lead and guide team members on everything fromstructured problem solving to development of best practices and ensure positivecareer development.

What you'll need to be successful in this role

• B.E or B.Tech in Computer Science or anyequivalent degree.
• Experienced technology leader with 12+ years ofsoftware development experience including, 5+ years in building and leadingstrong engineering teams.
• Substantial experience in building complex andscalable solutions.
• Strong object-oriented design skills, ability toapply design patterns, and an uncanny ability to design intuitive module andclass-level interfaces.
• Strong service architecture and development experience with high performanceand scalability
• Strong at technical goal setting for a projectwith actionable success metrics. Good knowledge and experience on measuring aservice from user experience angle.
• Strong on driving for results and self-motivated,strong learning mindset, with good understanding of related advanced/newtechnology. Keep up with the technology development in the related areas in theindustry, which could be leveraged to enhance current architectures and builddurable new ones.
• Outstanding verbal, written, presentation,facilitation, and interaction skills, including ability to effectivelycommunicate architectural issues and concepts to multiple organization levelsand executive management.
