Key Responsibilities
1. OEM Business Development & New Account Acquisition
- Identify, target, and penetrate new Vehicle OEM accounts across West India for AC and DC EV charger supply
- Map the complete buying ecosystem within OEMs including R&D, Purchase, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams
- Identify and engage Gatekeepers, Influencers, and Decision Makers (GID) at each account
- Develop and execute a structured go-to-market plan to break into priority OEM accounts
- Drive pipeline from cold outreach through to commercial closure
2. Understanding Market & Buying Dynamics
- Study and analyse OEM purchase cycles, procurement processes, and approval timelines for EV charging components
- Track competitor activities understand who OEMs are currently buying from, at what price points, and under what commercial terms
- Monitor market trends in EV adoption, government mandates (FAME,PM-E drive), and emerging OEM requirements for AC/DC charging
- Share structured market intelligence with the product and leadership teams to inform roadmap and pricing strategy
3. Technical Sales & R&D Engagement
- Collaborate with Quench's internal product and R&D teams to present tailored technical solutions aligned to OEM specifications
- Drive product approval cycles coordinate technical presentations, lab trials, field validations, and compliance submissions
- Respond to RFQs and RFIs with technically accurate, commercially competitive proposals
- Act as the bridge between customer technical requirements and Quench's engineering team
4. Negotiation & Commercial Closure
- Position Quench for negotiation tables at OEM accounts build business cases, value propositions, and TCO comparisons
- Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, payment terms, supply agreements, and volume commitments
- Manage the end-to-end contract process from LOI through to purchase order execution
5. Key Account Management (KAM)
- Build and nurture deep, multi-level relationships across assigned OEM accounts
- Develop annual account plans with revenue targets, engagement calendars, and growth strategies
- Proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve escalations in a timely manner
- Conduct regular business reviews (QBRs/MBRs) with key stakeholders at each account
6. Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records (pipeline, activities, account status)
- Provide weekly and monthly sales forecasts, opportunity updates, and market reports to leadership
- Track and report KPIs: new accounts acquired, pipeline value, conversion rates, revenue closed
Candidate Profile
Experience & Background
- 68 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in EV charging, automotive components, or allied EV/auto tech industries
- Demonstrated track record of selling to Vehicle OEMs (2W, 3W, 4W, commercial vehicles, or e-mobility OEMs)
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with long gestation periods
- Hands-on experience with product approval and vendor registration processes at OEMs
- Prior experience in Key Account Management and managing a portfolio of strategic accounts
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of AC and DC EV charging technologies, OEM integration requirements
- Good knowledge of the Indian OEM landscape
- Familiarity with competing EV charger brands (domestic and international) and their OEM positioning
- Understanding of procurement and supply chain functions within large automotive organisations
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho, or equivalent) and MS Office
Personal Attributes
- Hunter mindset with strong business development instincts and a consultative selling approach
- Excellent stakeholder management skills — comfortable engaging from shop-floor engineers to C-suite buyers
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Self-starter capable of working independently across a large geography
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, Hindi
- High resilience and ability to manage long sales cycles without losing momentum
Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering
- MBA in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management (preferred)
- Willingness to travel extensively across West India
