Job summary

HG Infra Engineering Limited (HGIEL) invites an experienced Lead Project P&M (Assistant General Manager) to oversee the Plant & Machinery department, ensuring efficient operations and optimal resource utilization.

You will develop strategies to operate P&M as a profit center, monitor deployment, maintenance, and performance of all project equipment, and coordinate mobilization/demobilization per project needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Production Engineering, or related field.
• 10 to 18 years of experience in Plant & Machinery management within the Infrastructure and EPC industry.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent knowledge of equipment maintenance, mobilization, and demobilization.
• Proven ability to manage P&M operations as a profit center.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Plant & Machinery (P&M) department, ensuring efficient operations and optimal resource utilization.
• Develop and implement strategies to operate the P&M department as a profit center, focusing on cost control, revenue generation, and value addition.
• Monitor and manage the deployment, maintenance, and performance of all project equipment and machinery.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely mobilization and demobilization of machinery as per project requirements.
• Analyze equipment utilization and downtime, and initiate corrective actions to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
• Prepare and manage budgets for the P&M department, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for process optimization and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all P&M activities.
• Mentor and develop the P&M team to build technical and managerial capabilities.
