Job summary

Concordtech is looking for a skilled professional in Pune, India, to manage control systems projects. You will execute projects from planning to delivery, develop PLC/SCADA applications, and guide a team in technical development.

Roles and Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution

• Discuss project requirements with end-users, customers, consultants, OEMs, and sales representatives to understand scope and objectives.
• Prepare activity breakdowns, schedules, and implementation plans for project execution.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to individual team members, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
• Execute projects within the defined limits of quality, schedule, and cost, ensuring efficient delivery.

Technical Development and Integration

• Develop and execute PLC/SCADA/HMI applications independently and guide team members in application development.
• Execute panel integration activities, ensuring proper integration of all systems and components.
• Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT (Site Acceptance Test), and other technical evaluations with customers.
• Prepare and manage documentation and templates, including logic flowcharts, control philosophies, and detailed engineering documents.

Team Management and Collaboration

• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly meetings for periodic reviews to track progress and address challenges.
• Enhance and promote the use of standards and processes related to engineering, execution, and project management.
• Build and enhance team skillsets through training, cross‑training, and share‑learn sessions.

Skills required for the position

Technical Skills

• Well‑versed in control system products from various vendors (B&R, GE, Rockwell, Beckhoff, Honeywell, Siemens).
• Experienced in the entire lifecycle of at least three projects, from concept to commissioning.
• Strong understanding of field instruments and their basic principles.
• Proficient in preparing basic engineering documents such as logic flowcharts and control philosophies.
• Skilled in PLC/DCS hardware detail engineering.
• Experienced in PLC application development using various programming languages: Ladder, Structured Text, Instruction List, Function Block, and SFC.
• Expertise in SCADA configuration, graphics development (static, dynamic), sub-picture development, and scripting.
• In‑depth knowledge of industrial and IT communication protocols (EtherNet/Profinet/Modbus/DeviceNet).
• Well‑versed with software fundamentals of programming, including C, C++, .NET, VB Scripting, and SQL databases.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and clients.
• Ability to understand and interpret engineering documents such as P&ID, Instrument Index, Cause‑Effect Diagrams, and Plant Layouts.
• Capable of working efficiently in diverse project environments, ensuring timely and successful project execution.

• Adaptable and skilled in handling various control system products throughout their lifecycle.
• Proficient in understanding engineering documentation and applying it to real-world solutions.
• Ability to integrate software and hardware aspects in complex automation systems.
