Job summary

MAN Truck & Bus India Pvt. Ltd seeks a Geometrical Assurance Engineer for Pune with a background in automotive engineering. You will plan virtual validation and configure vehicle variants in PDM/3D systems, performing CATIA-based geometry evaluations for ICE and BEV programs.

Required: B.E./M.E. in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering, automotive experience, strong CATIA skills, and proficiency in MS Office. The role involves collaboration across design and production teams within a hybrid work

Qualifications

• B.E./M.E. in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering (Automotive background preferred).
• CATIA proficiency essential.
• Experience with virtual validation and 3D CAD workflows.
• Strong MS Office/M365 skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Plan virtual validation scopes with production and design.
• Configure vehicle variants in PDM and 3D systems.
• Perform CATIA-based geometric evaluation of layouts for ICE/BEV.
• Create 150% development environments for design teams in early projects.
• Protect systems in a 150% environment against late-phase installation regulations.
• Evaluate automated collision results and define corrective actions.
• Present milestones results within MAN and TRATON groups.
• Provide AdHoc support for virtual collision analysis when needed.
• Monitor IT systems for vehicle body processes and investigate issues.

Your Tasks -

The position is expected work on Geometrical Assurances of ICE & BEV vehicles

To ensure that you will-

• Planning of virtual validation scopes in the projects in direct coordination with production and design
• Setup of vehicle configurations and filter creation in the PDM and 3D system
• Geometric evaluation of layout vehicles (100% configurations) in CATIA
• Creation of 150% development environments for the design departments in early project phases (150% environments)
• Protection of systems and assemblies in a 150% environment against regulations in later project phases (installation assurance)
• Evaluation of the results of the automated collision calculation and definition of necessary measures
• Excellent CATIA & relevant tools proficiency
• Consistent follow-up of the action plans and holding meetings (e.g. rounds of the installation space) with the designers responsible for the collision
• Presentation of the results of the relevant project milestones within MAN and the TRATON Group
• AdHoc support for virtual collision analysis in the event of non-assembly capability in the MAN Truck plants
• Accompaniment of the virtual validation process for improvement opportunities
• Monitoring and checking the quality of all IT systems necessary for the vehicle body, including independent research of the causes and initiation or prosecution of measures to eliminate the defects
• B.E/M.E. (Mechanical/Automobile Engineering)
• Should be from Automotive background

• Technical studies or training as a technical draftsman in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or similar
• Very good knowledge of MS Office/M365 products
