Job summary

Maersk is seeking an experienced tender and contract management professional to join our global team in Navi Mumbai. You will ensure master data integrity, quality, and govern data with stakeholders while drafting and updating contracts in SAP and Athena for won tenders.

You will analyze business needs, coordinate with various teams, and drive improvements in data governance, invoicing in SAP, and end-to-end contract lifecycle management to meet tender timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related field.
• Strong experience in Tender & Contract Management processes.
• Analytical, process management, and data management capabilities.
• Expert level knowledge – Contracting & Invoicing in SAP (SD module).
• Proficiency in Excel VBA coding and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure master data integrity in key systems and maintain data quality processes.
• Monitor and analyze master data quality metrics; identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage master data governance, including data owners and data stewards.
• Own end-to-end opportunity life cycle for L&S products, especially SCM.
• Adhere to tender timelines and stakeholder expectations.
• Focus on KPIs like contractual rate timeliness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with desks for updates and clarifications on customer requirements.
• Create standard rate templates (Excel) and implement in SAP & Athena for contracts.
• Update Sales and Purchase contracts in SAP per business-provided validity details.
• Follow Athena process per approved flow and maintain compliance controls.
• Provide training/guidance to stakeholders to ensure compliance across Sales org globally.
• Understand business model and relation of Contracts to SO/PO for revenue/cost timing.
• Identify and apply corrective actions on system interfaces and perform reconciliations.
• Meet ad-hoc customer requirements with urgency; coordinate with GSC partners.

Understands the customer tender, drafting requirements of Key clients and performs/updates the tasks/steps in the system as illustrated without any supervision. Performs audits of work performed by Team member and create Contracts in SAP and Athena for won Tenders. Analyze, organize, and build data to evaluate business needs and objectives exploring ways to enhance data quality and reliability with collaboration with team and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality
• Monitor and analyze master data quality metrics and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Manage master data governance, including establishing data owners and supporting data stewards
• Own end-to-end opportunity life cycle for L&S products, particularly Supply Chain Management.
• Adhere to all tender timelines and stages as agreed with key stakeholders.
• Focus on particularly important KPIs such as contractual rate timeliness & contractual rate accuracy to maintain as per targets.
• Coordinate with relevant desks to provide updates, get information, clarify questions related to customer requirements and/or as required by various stakeholders.
• Create Standard Rate Templates (Excel based) from all available information and later work in SAP & Athena systems for the contract creation
• Update Sales and Purchase contract in SAP application as per validity details shared by business teams.
• Athena process to be followed as per agreed flow.
• Provide training and guidance as necessary to all stakeholders to ensure compliance of designated controls in the Sales organization globally.
• Understand the business model and correlation of Contracts on SO & PO, enabling timely recognition of the Revenue & Cost.
• Identify & apply corrective actions on system interface & conduct necessary reconciliations.
• Meet ad-hoc customer requirements, exceptions and ensure that the requirements are fulfilled with a sense of urgency.
• Interact & Co-ordinate with other teams within GSC to achieve the business & Organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance or any other similar discipline
• 3 – 4 years of prior experience in Tender & Contract Management process (must have)
• Analytical, process management, and data management.
• Expert Level knowledge – Contracting & Invoicing in SAP especially of SD Module (must have)
• Proficiency in Excel VBA Coding & Data Analytics using excel (good to have)
• Good understanding of sales process would be an advantage
• Good understanding SCM business would be advantageous
