Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a senior procurement professional in Mumbai to lead end-to-end IT product procurement and vendor management for data center operations. You will oversee PR to PO cycles, vendor onboarding, and contract finalization while ensuring TCO optimization and compliance.

The role requires 10+ years of relevant procurement experience, strong SAP-MM knowledge, and excellent communication. MBA in operations or supply chain is a plus; ISO familiarity is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 10+ years procurement experience in relevant category.
• Experience on SAP-MM Module for minimum 5 years.
• Aware of software licensing models for Support & Services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT).
• Familiarity with ISO 9000/14000/45000/20000/22000/27000 is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing complete PR to PO process including requirement gathering, RFPs, obtaining offers, comparative evaluations, negotiations, and placement of purchase orders and logistics.
• Managing new vendor developments, vendor rationalization, rate contracts and partnership agreements.
• Cost effective procurement within budget targets and TCO evaluation.
• Obtain approvals according to delegation of authority.
• Ensure timely PR to PO actions and OTIF delivery as per contract terms.
• Vendor onboarding and assessment, NDAs and SLA finalization.
• Prepare terms and conditions of PO and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• MIS reporting and spend analysis on a monthly basis.
• Vendor performance evaluation and regular monitoring.
• Support pre-sales team for RFPs and bids.
• Knowledge of SAP-MM module is essential.

Job Purpose

Responsible for Procurement & Vendor Management of IT Products (Cloud, Compute, Network, Security, Storage, Back-up, Software / Hardware, Professional Managed Services etc.) for Data center business.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing complete PR to PO process including Requirement gathering, RFPs, obtaining offers, Comparative evaluations, Negotiations, Placement of Purchase Orders & Logistics.
• Managing New Vendor developments, Vendor Rationalization, Rate Contracts, Partnership Agreements, Vendor Management etc.
• Cost Effective Procurement within the budgeted cost / targets, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) evaluation.
• Obtain approvals according to Delegation of Authority.
• Ensuring TAT to adhere timely actions for PR to PO process.
• Managing Vendor On-boarding process & Vendor Assessment to ensure their capabilities / quality, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with Vendors.
• Preparing Terms & Conditions of Purchase Order, SLA finalization.
• Ensuring OTIF-Delivery of supplies & services as per the Contract terms.
• Price Trend Analysis for the Category items.
• MIS report submission on monthly basis, Spend Analysis.
• Vendor Performance Evaluation & Monitoring on regular intervals.
• Ensuring Procurement Compliance as per Internal Finance Control guidelines, ISO compliances adherence.
• Smooth Coordination with various internal & external stakeholders.
• Support Pre-sales team for various RFPs & Bids.
• Knowledge of SAP-MM Module.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

BE/B-Tech or equivalent with Computer Science or Electronics & Communication or Electrical Engineering. MBA-Operations/Supply Chain will be added advantage.

Relevant Experience

• 10 years+ procurement experience in relevant category.
• Must have experience on SAP-MM Module for minimum 5 years.
• Must be aware of Software licensing model, other licensing models of Support & Services.
• Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT).
• Familiarity of ISO 9K / 14K / 45K / 20K / 22K / 27K would be added advantage.
• Should be excellent in communication skills (written & verbal).
• Should be target oriented, time bound and achieve goals.
• Should possess good Interpersonal Skills, Problem Solving attitude, Critical Thinking, Collaborative approach, Persuasive skills & Analytical skills.
