Job summary

ARISE IIP is seeking a Manager for IT Procurement & SAP Procurement Operations to lead end-to-end procurement and SAP-based processes. You will manage PR/PO/GRN cycles, drive cost optimization and vendor performance while guiding a dedicated procurement team.

The role focuses on governance, process standardization, and achieving SLA targets across IT goods, licenses, and services. Prioritizes cross-functional collaboration with IT and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain or procurement.
• MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred.
• 7–10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing or procurement operations.
• Experience in IT procurement and SAP MM is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end IT procurement activities and SAP procurement operations.
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations and finalization.
• Manage PR/PO/GRN processing in SAP and ensure SLA adherence.

Job Description - IT Procurement & SAP Procurement Operations

Position Title: Manager - IT Procurement & SAP Procurement Operations

Department: Procurement / Supply Chain

Role Purpose

Manage end-to-end IT procurement activities while overseeing SAP-based procurement operations covering PR, PO and GRN processing. The role combines strategic IT sourcing, vendor management, procurement governance and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

• Manage end-to-end procurement of IT products and services, including hardware, software, licenses, subscriptions and IT services.
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes, commercial evaluations, negotiations and vendor finalization.
• Drive cost optimization through competitive sourcing, benchmarking, negotiation and supplier consolidation.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, renewals and supplier performance.

2. SAP Procurement Operations

• Lead the team responsible for PR, PO and GRN processing in SAP.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of procurement transactions and adherence to defined SLAs.
• Monitor the PR-to-PO-to-GRN cycle, identify bottlenecks and resolve operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, approval workflows and process controls.

3. Team & Stakeholder Management

• Manage and guide the SAP procurement operations team, including workload allocation, performance monitoring and escalations.
• Coordinate with IT, Finance, Business Functions and suppliers to ensure smooth procurement execution.
• Support and resolve complex procurement, invoice, GRN and payment-related issues.

4. Governance & Process Improvement

• Ensure procurement documentation, contracts and transactions comply with organizational policies and audit requirements.
• Monitor procurement KPIs, spend and operational performance.
• Identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, digitization and improved procurement turnaround time.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement or related discipline.
• MBA / postgraduate qualification preferred.
• 7-10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing and/or procurement operations.
• Experience in IT procurement and technology categories preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM and Procure-to-Pay processes.
• Experience in managing procurement operations teams preferred.
