Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Lead Engineer (Instrumentation) to head a team of engineers and modellers in Mumbai. The role involves leading design and detailing for control systems including RTU, DCS, PLC, F&G and SCADA, and ensuring data sheets and MTOs are checked thoroughly.

You will coordinate with other disciplines, guide designers via 3D modelling, verify instrument location plans, fire & gas layouts, and inter-discipline documents, applying international standards and instrumentation

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Checking Data Sheets for instruments including sizing calculations.
• Design and detailing for Control systems: RTU, DCS, PLC, F&G, SCADA.
• Checking MTOs.
• Conversant in 3D Modelling to guide designers.
• Checking Instrument Location Plans, Fire & Gas layouts, Cable Tray layouts.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for proper information flow.
• Involve in checking inter-discipline documents.
• Proficiency with SPI, Instrucal for design.
• Knowledge of international standards.

The candidate shall be able to work as lead engineer, by leading team of Engineers & Modellers.

The Activities Will Include But Not Be Limited To

• Checking of Data Sheet for various Instruments including sizing calculations
• Design and detailed engineering for Control systems: RTU, DCS, PLC, F&G and SCADA Systems
• Checking of MTOs
• Conversant in 3D Modelling to guide designers
• Checking of Instrument Location Plan Drawing, Fire & Gas Detection layout, Cable Tray Layout etc.
• Co-ordination with other disciplines for proper flow of information
• Involve in the checking of inter discipline documents
• Proficiency in using instrumentation software like SPI, Instrucal, etc. for design
• Knowledge of international standards
