Job summary

Strategic Alliance Management Services Pvt Ltd. is seeking a Lead - Human Resources (LHR) to standardize HR processes across affiliated organizations.

You will be the central HR resource ensuring governance, compliance, workforce planning, and service delivery across multiple entities. The role requires MBA in HR and 10–15 years of HR generalist experience, with strong policies design, labour law knowledge, and stakeholder management.

  • Experience in social sector or multi-entity environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and institutionalize HR policies, processes, and operating frameworks for the Affiliated Organisations Cell and associated entities.
  • Review, assess, and strengthen existing HR processes, policies, and controls across entities to improve efficiency, governance, and compliance.
  • Support end-to-end employee lifecycle management, including manpower planning, recruitment coordination, onboarding, records management, and separations.
  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze HR MIS reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics for management decisions.
  • Conduct compensation benchmarking and market analyses to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Oversee statutory and regulatory compliance across supported entities, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with leadership to address HR matters and drive best practices across entities.
  • Maintain HR documentation and audit-ready records in line with legal requirements.

2. ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to theHead - Affiliated Organisations Cell, with a dotted-line relationship to the Head - Human Resources-LPO, the Lead - Human Resources (LHR) will be responsible for establishing, standardizing, and strengthening HR processes across affiliated organizations and not-for-profit entities supported by the Affiliated Organisations Cell. The incumbent will serve as a central HR resource, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, governance, workforce planning support, and effective HR service delivery across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities:

(1) Design, implement, and institutionalize HR policies, processes, and operating frameworks for the Affiliated Organisations Cell and associated entities;

(2) Review, assess, and strengthen existing HR processes, policies, and controls to improve efficiency, governance, employee experience, and compliance;

(3) Support end-to-end employee lifecycle management, including manpower planning, recruitment coordination, onboarding, employee records management, confirmations, separations, and related HR operations;

(4) Prepare, maintain, and analyze HR MIS reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics to support management decision-making and organizational planning;

(5) Conduct compensation benchmarking, pay parity reviews, and market analyses across comparable organizations and sectors, while providing recommendations to ensure competitiveness and internal equity;

(6) Oversee statutory and regulatory compliance across supported entities, including direct management of compliance requirements for entities that do not have dedicated HR resources, while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders as required;

(7) Partner with leadership and functional teams to address HR-related matters, provide operational support, and drive HR best practices across entities within the Affiliated Organisations Cell;

(8) Maintain HR documentation, records, policies, and audit-ready documentation in line with organizational and legal requirements.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications

Applicants must have an MBA in Human Resources from a reputed institution.

Experience

(1) Minimum 10-15 years of experience as an HR Generalist with strong exposure to HR Operations;

(2) Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing HR policies, systems, and operational processes across diverse organizations;

(3) Experience in the social sector, not-for-profit organizations, or multi-entity environments will be an advantage.

Skills and Competencies

(1) Strong understanding of HR Operations and Employee Lifecycle Management;

(2) Strong knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, and governance requirements;

(3) Process design, documentation, and continuous improvement orientation;

(4) Strong analytical skills with proficiency in HR reporting and MIS preparation;

(5) Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills;

(6) Ability to work independently across multiple entities and priorities;

(7) High attention to detail and strong execution capability;

(8) Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills;

(9) Candidates with Gujarati language proficiency will have an added advantage;

(10) Willingness to travel extensively.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

The compensation offered for the position is competitive and commensurate with experience and salary history.

6. LOCATION & NATURE OF APPOINTMENT:

(1) Location: Mumbai
(2) Nature of Appointment: On-roll Employment (Fixed Term Employment for 3 years)
