Job summary

ENNOVI MOBILITY SOLUTIONS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED. seeks a Lead Engineer to oversee plating chemistry, analytical testing, and metal recovery in Bangalore. You will supervise chemists, manage inventories, and ensure SAP data integrity for operational transactions.

The role requires hands-on use of AAS, XRF, UV-Vis, HPLC, and Auto-Titrator, with a focus on maintaining process quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Lead Engineer with plating chemistry expertise

• Hands-on calibration and operation of analytical instruments
• Familiarity with SAP and IATF 16949 compliant processes

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily chemical analysis and maintenance of plating baths (Gold, Nickel, Copper, Silver, Tin).
• Perform GD&T and tolerance analyses as required.
• Prevent downtime due to plating chemistry and lab activities.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Supervise recovery of precious metals from spent plating solutions.
• Operate and calibrate AAS, XRF, UV-Vis, HPLC, and Auto-Titrator equipment.
• Oversee quality tests on plated components (NSS, environmental testing, porosity).
• Manage precious metal and hazardous chemical inventories.
• Log data and manage inventory in SAP for plating operations.
• Prepare monthly consumption reports for plating department.
• Lead and mentor a team of chemists for 24/7 plating operations.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance and external auditors.
• Maintain IATF 16949/IMS compliance and safe handling protocols.
• Enforce 5S and safety standards across lab operations.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Engineer tojoin our team in the Plating, Bangalore

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee daily chemical analysis and maintenance of plating baths (Gold, Nickel, Copper, Silver, and Tin).
• Knowledge in GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Ensure zero plant downtime attributed to plating chemistry or laboratory activities.
• Troubleshoot plating defects related to chemistry, conducting thorough root-cause analysis (RCA) and implementing permanent corrective actions.
• Supervise the recovery process of precious metals from spent plating solutions.
• Hands-on operation, calibration, and standardization of advanced analytical equipment including AAS, XRF, UV-Vis, HPLC, and Auto-Titrator.
• Oversee critical quality testing on plated components, including NSS (Neutral Salt Spray), Environmental Testing, and Porosity assessments.
• Maintain full accountability for precious metal inventory, and ensure compliance to expectations.
• Track and manage hazardous chemical inventory, ensuring process requirements are consistently met.
• Utilize SAP for operational transactions, logging data, and inventory management.
• Prepare comprehensive monthly reports detailing chemical and metal consumption for the plating department.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of chemists to ensure smooth, round-the-clock plating operations.
• Work effectively under pressure to meet tight production schedules and quality targets.
• Coordinate seamlessly with internal departments (Production, Quality, Maintenance) and external stakeholders or auditors.
• Maintain strict adherence to IATF 16949 / Integrated Management System (IMS) guidelines and documentation.
• Enforce rigorous protocols for handling hazardous chemicals.
• Drive and sustain best-in-class 5S practices and environmental safety standards across all laboratory operations.
