Job summary

Tata Technologies is seeking a full-time CAD engineer for powertrain integration in Pune. You will perform package checks, generate clearance reports, and liaise across commodities to ensure correct CAD data and BOM information.

Ideal candidates will have strong CATIA V5/V6 skills, Powertrain domain knowledge, and experience with TeamCenter PLM. Excellent GD&T and 3D/2D capabilities are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or related discipline.
• Automotive domain knowledge with working experience of powertrain system.
• Excellent CATIA V5 and CATIA V6 2D/3D skills.
• Exposure to PLM tools such as TeamCenter.
• GD&T application, 3D/2D.

Scope of Role

CAD, powertrain integration.

Area of Responsibility

• Candidate will be part of Powertrain teams as a full time CAD engineer for powertrain integration team.
• Conduct package checks, clearance report generation, cross-commodity liaison.
• Shouldhave a good understanding ofvehicle package guideline.
• Sound knowledge of Plastic and Sheet metaldesign guidelines and manufacturing processes is required.
• Should have an ability to conduct benchmarkingstudiesand propose innovative solutions.
• Good understanding of PCDS and major gateways.

Knowledge / Experience 6 to 8 Years

Essential:

• Automotive domain knowledge with working experience of powertrain system.
• Timely S/T/P releases by ensuring right information of CAD data is produced with BOM, weight management.
• Understanding of commodity release & change management
• Understanding of Proto & Production BOM, build support,
• Excellent CATIA V5 and CATIA V6 2D/3D skills.
• Exposure to PLM tools such as TeamCenter.
• GD&T application, 3D/2D.
• Problem solving, strong communication, decision making, ownership mindset.
