Responsibilities

The Impact You'll Make

As a Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of hydraulic piston pump and motor technologies. This position provides technical leadership across multiple new product development initiatives, helping drive innovation, technical excellence, and business growth within our hydraulic piston product portfolio. You will collaborate with global engineering experts, influence technology strategy, and lead the development of next-generation products that meet evolving customer and market needs. Through your technical expertise and leadership, you will help build organizational capability, advance intellectual property, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will combine deep technical expertise with leadership and innovation to deliver impactful engineering outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

• Provide technical leadership and hands‑on engineering support for hydraulic piston pump and motor development projects, ensuring robust, innovative, and reliable product designs.
• Lead critical design reviews, mentor engineers on complex technical challenges, and guide teams in applying Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodologies throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Drive innovation initiatives by identifying emerging technologies, building strategic technical networks, and contributing to patents, technical publications, trade secrets, and intellectual property development.
• Develop and execute technology roadmaps aligned with current and future business needs while collaborating with global experts, external partners, and cross‑functional teams.
• Champion product quality, engineering rigor, and successful project execution by balancing scope, schedule, cost, and performance objectives.

In addition, you will help develop technical capabilities across the organization through coaching, mentoring, training, and active participation in professional forums and industry communities.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. A Master's degree is preferred.
• 8-10 years of experience in hydraulic piston pump design, product development, and engineering project execution.
• Advanced expertise in DFSS tools and methodologies, including PDSC, FMEA/FMECA, DVPR, DOE, Monte Carlo Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Strong proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), tolerance stack‑up analysis, engineering reviews, and design validation practices.
• Demonstrated success leading technical projects, implementing engineering changes through PLM systems, and influencing cross‑functional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with hydraulic piston motor design, computational engineering methods such as FEM, CFD, and MATLAB, and development of analytical prediction models and engineering design guides will be highly valued. We are also looking for someone who demonstrates strategic thinking, strong customer focus, technical depth, and the ability to build alignment across geographically distributed teams. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, intercultural adaptability, professional presence, and a passion for developing others.
