Job summary

L&T Technology Services in Vadodara seeks a design engineer to work on HV, MV and LV electrical systems for process facilities. The role requires hands-on design experience, knowledge of international codes, and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities include creating single line diagrams, equipment datasheets, cable schedules, lighting drawings, and tender documentation. ETAP proficiency and experience with hazardous areas are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Hazardous area requirements, Heat Tracing System Design, Cathodic protection system, etc. will be helpful.
• Knowledge of ETAP or equivalent software.

• Exposure to HT and LT system design.
• Preparation of Single line diagrams and Load list.
• Preparation of Electrical equipment specification and datasheet.
• Preparation of Electrical layout.
• Preparation of Electrical calculation like cable sizing, tray sizing.
• Preparation of cable schedules, DB schedules etc.
• Lighting design using software and preparation of lighting drawings.
• Preparation of Tender document and Bill of Quantity.
• Technical bid evaluation and Vendor drawing review.
• Knowledge of Hazardous area requirements, Heat Tracing System Design, Cathodic protection system, etc. will be helpful.
• Knowledge of ETAP or equivalent software.
• Exposure to design standards of Food plant will be desired.
• Experience in clean room electrical requirement is added advantage.
• Working level knowledge for filed instrumentation and PLC system.
• Handelling team of 4 to 6 engineers and designers.

About the Role

Design experience in HV, MV and LV system design, CPG/Dairy/Pharma experience preferred, Hands on experience in design of electrical deliverables.

Should be able to work in multiple projects. Knowledge of various international codes such as IS, IEC, IEEE and NEC. Experience in working on projects abroad e.g. USA, Gulf will be an added advantage.
