Job summary

L&T Technology Services seeks an Electrical Design Engineer with HV, MV and LV system design experience and ELV systems. You will prepare single line diagrams, load lists, equipment specifications, electrical layouts, cable sizing and schedules, lighting drawings, and tender documents.

Experience with ETAP or similar software and familiarity with IS/IEC/IEEE/NEC codes is preferred; exposure to international projects (USA, Gulf) will be an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ETAP or equivalent software.
• Experience with HT/LT design and ELV systems is desirable.
• CPG/food/pharma experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Exposure to HT and LT system design.
• Prepare single line diagrams and load lists.
• Prepare electrical equipment specs and datasheets.
• Create electrical layouts and cable sizing calculations.
• Develop cable schedules and DB schedules.
• Design lighting drawings and prepare tender documents.
• Conduct technical bid evaluation and vendor drawing reviews.
• Familiarity with hazardous area, heat tracing, cathodic protection is helpful.

Job description

About the Role

Should be able to work in multiple projects. Knowledge of various international codes such as IS, IEC, IEEE and NEC. Experience in working on projects abroad e.g. USA, Gulf will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Exposure to HT and LT system design.
• Preparation of Single line diagrams and Load list.
• Preparation of Electrical equipment specification and datasheet.
• Preparation of Electrical layout.
• Preparation of Electrical calculation like cable sizing, tray sizing.
• Preparation of cable schedules, DB schedules etc.
• Lighting design using software and preparation of lighting drawings.
• Preparation of Tender document and BOQ.
• Technical bid evaluation and Vendor drawing review.
• Knowledge of Hazardous area requirements, Heat Tracing System Design, Cathodic protection system, etc. will be helpful.
• Knowledge of ETAP or equivalent software.
• Knowledge of ELV (including the CCTV, ACS PA system, BMS system, IT & Telephone).
• Exposure to design standards of Food plant will be desired.
• Knowledge for field instrumentation and PLC is added advantage.
• Knowledge for Dairy Plant and pharma is added advantage.
