Job summary

Wisecor is seeking a Lead - Electrical Design Engineer for its Substation and Transmission & Distribution division. You will lead the design and engineering of high-voltage systems for major power and oil & gas projects, and manage a team of electrical engineers.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering and 8–15 years of HV substation design, T&D system engineering, and international codes knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience in power plant or oil & gas projects is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of international electrical codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design & engineering of HV substations, switchyards, and T&D systems per international standards.
• Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), layout plans, and control/protection schemes.
• Perform technical and commercial evaluation of vendor bids for electrical equipment.
• Calculate sizing for transformers, switchgear, GCBs, DG sets, UPS, DC systems, and bus ducts.
• Conduct power system studies, earthing and lighting design, and specification preparation.
• Guide and manage a team of electrical engineers through all project phases.
• Review vendor drawings and ensure engineering deliverables meet quality standards.
