Job summary

Yotta in India is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager/Chief Engineer for critical data center operations. You will lead maintenance, budgeting, and risk management to ensure reliable, cost-effective performance of data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities include strategic budgeting, staffing oversight, and incident management with emphasis on compliance with QMS/EMS/ITSM standards. A strong background in O&M and cloud/architecture knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical, electronics, mechanical or building services or related disciplines.
• 15+ years of experience as a facilities manager or chief engineer in critical facilities management.
• Experience with failure analysis and root cause analysis.
• Operational risk assessment experience from component to system level using analytical methods.
• Strong leadership with team management experience in O&M.

Responsibilities

• Create strategy for cost effective operations focusing on total cost of ownership.
• Oversee daily operation management and ensure compliance with policies and guidelines.

• Review staffing levels to meet organizational expectations and demands.
• Lead and supervise administration duties including performance and disciplinary actions.
• Attend emergency call outs and prepare incident reports with root cause and preventive measures.
• Support 1-up manager for customer RFPs including floor layout and feasibility studies.

Job description

• Direct maintenance and repair of mission critical data centers.
• Plan and execute Data Center operational budgets, expenseforecasting and manage established budgets.
• Create strategy for cost effective operations, focused on totalcost of ownership.
• Oversee daily operation management and ensure complianceofcompany policies and guidelines
• Demonstrate critical thinking and innovation in approachingtraditional data center and emergent mission critical data center challenges.
• Monitor and control the budgeted expenditures and ensure that theData Center systems are operating healthy and efficiently.
• Reviews client's strategic plans and determines appropriatestaffing levels to meet expectations.
• Perform leadership and supervision skills in administration duties such as review, performance and disciplinary action
• Attending emergency call outs and responsible to prepare theIncident reports, root cause and preventive measures.
• Support 1 up manager for customer RFP including floor layout withfeasibility studies and guide the customer tours.
• Reviewing theorganization's environmental policy
• Analyzing its environmental impacts, legal requirements, and compliance obligations
• Setting environmental objectives and targets to reduceenvironmental impacts.
• Follow & commit with Yotta’s Policystatements (eg. QMS/EMS/OHS/ISMS/PIMS/ITSM / BCMS / EnMS etc.)
• Undertake applicable training ascommunicated from time to time.
• Understand the organization’sexpectations towards all management systems the company is certified for.
• Participation in Risk assessmentprocess, contribute in achieving departmental & management systemobjectives.
• Adhere to confidentiality policy tosafeguard sensitive company information, maintain trust with clients andpartners, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Perform their duties in the event ofemergency as per roles in ERP/BCMS plan.
• Assist in maintaining PIMS controlsthroughout personal data lifecycle.

Qualification andExperience:

• Familiarity with major data center infrastructure equipment.
