Job summary

Mphasis is seeking a seasoned Program Manager for FinOps in Bengaluru, a hybrid role requiring deep cloud financial management and strong Agile Release Train leadership. You will drive cost optimization strategies while coordinating across Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and Leadership teams.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in industry, 2+ years in Agile RTE, and proven success delivering cost-efficient cloud programs.

Qualifications

• 12+ years total experience with 3-5+ years in FinOps or Cloud Cost Management roles.
• 2+ years of Agile RTE experience in SAFe or similar environments.
• Knowledge of AWS pricing and usage models.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional programs for cloud cost efficiency.
• Strong skills in cloud cost reporting tools, budgeting, and financial modeling.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• FinOps leadership: establish governance, KPIs, and operating models for cloud spend.

JobTitle- Program Manager for Finops

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a seasoned Program Manager for Finops with Min 10+ years deep experience in cloud financial management and strong Agile Release Train (RTE) leadership. This hybrid role will drive cloud cost optimization strategies while ensuring seamless coordination across multiple Scrum teams for timely and value-driven delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• FinOps Leadership: Drive the FinOps function, establishing governance, KPIs, and operational models to manage and optimize cloud spend.
• Program Management: Manage large-scale cloud financial initiatives, working closely with Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and Leadership teams.
• Agile Release Train Execution:
• Act as an Agile RTE, coordinating multiple Scrum teams within the program to ensure synchronized planning, execution, and delivery.
• Facilitate PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and ART sync meetings to align delivery with FinOps priorities.
• Track dependencies, risks, and impediments across teams to maintain consistent momentum.
• Cloud Cost Optimization: Collaborate with Product, Architecture and Operations teams to Identify and implement cost-saving strategies through rightsizing, reserved instance management, architectural adjustments, etc.
• Forecasting & Budgeting: Collaborate with finance teams to build accurate forecasts and budgets for cloud consumption.
• Reporting & Analytics: Deliver insights using tools like Power BI, Superset, AWS Cost Explorer etc
• Automation & Tooling: In collaboration with Operations team, Implement FinOps platforms and automation for reporting, governance, and anomaly detection (e.g., CloudHealth, Apptio, Cloudability).
• MoC, Training & Communication: Promote a FinOps culture across the organization by mentoring teams, creating training material, and organizing workshops.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of total industry experience with 35+ years in FinOps or Cloud Cost Management roles.
• Should have knowledge of AWS cloud pricing and usage models.
• 2+ years of Agile RTE experience, managing delivery across multiple Scrum teams within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar environments.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional programs focused on cloud cost efficiency and agile delivery.
• Expertise in cloud cost reporting tools, budgeting processes, and financial modeling.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technical domains.

• Certified FinOps Practitioner or FinOps Professional.
• Certified SAFe RTE, PMI ACP, Scrum alliance
• Experience in DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), or platform engineering teams.
• Familiarity with allocation/chargeback models in a multi-cloud environment.
