Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a seasoned FinOps Professional to optimize cloud spend across multi-cloud environments from Noida. You will drive cost efficiency, governance, and financial accountability for engineering and product teams, while leveraging FinOps best practices.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, including 5+ years in cloud FinOps, and strong skills in data analysis, Excel and Power BI. You will collaborate with US/UK clients and work in a 5-day office setting.

Qualifications

• >10 years of cloud experience with 5+ years in cloud FinOps service management.
• >Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• >FinOps certification preferred.
• >Azure & AWS cloud platform certifications.
• >Strong data analysis and reporting skills (Excel, Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end FinOps delivery for multi-clients with cost optimization and forecasting accountability.
• Demonstrate expertise in FinOps Foundation framework and maturity stages.
• Own FinOps deliverables including cost allocation, budgeting, forecasting, and anomaly detection.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance and product teams to align cloud usage with business goals.
• Build and maintain cost visibility dashboards and KPIs using MyXalytics, Cloudability, and cloud-native tools.
• Lead client interactions, governance calls and stakeholder management with a consultative approach.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through rightsizing, reservations, and architectural improvements.
• Establish FinOps policies, SOPs and run books for sustainable cost management.
• Support FinOps maturity assessments and define roadmaps with POC projects.
• Track savings and drive accountability across teams.
• Aim for 20–30% savings across cloud platforms and 15–20% realized savings.

Role Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated FinOps Professional/Practitioner or a Consultant to join our growingteam. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing multi cloud platform spending, drivingcost efficiency, and fostering a culture of financial accountability for our clients engineering, leadership and product teams. You will work closely with stakeholders across various cloud platform services consumers to implement FinOps best practices and ensure we are maximizing the value of cloud platform investments.

Responsibilities:

• Drive end-to-end FinOps deliveryfor multi clients,ensuring cost optimization, forecasting accuracy, and financial accountability across cloud environments.
• Demonstrate strongexpertise in the FinOps Foundation framework, including Crawl,Walk & Run maturity stages and core principles.
• Own and effectively leverage FinOps tools (MyXalytics, Cloudability, Azure & AWS cloud native Cost Management tool) and collaborate with the Product/Professional Services team to enhancecapabilities by developing new features, customdashboards, and reportsaligned with evolving client requirements and business demands.
• Manage and own all FinOps deliverables such as cost allocation, budgeting, forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance,and business teams to align cloud usage with financial goals and business priorities. Should be capable to map core FinOps personas with stakeholders.
• Build and maintain cost visibility dashboards, reports, and KPIs using tools like MyXalytics, Cloudability, Azure & AWS cloud native Cost Management tool, or similar platforms.
• Lead client interactions, governance, advisory calls, and stakeholder management with a consultative approach to drive value realization.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities throughrightsizing, reservation management, and architectural improvements.
• Establish FinOpsbest practices, policies,and standard operatingprocedures and run books for sustainable cost management.
• Support FinOps maturity assessments and define roadmaps to enhance client capabilities and operational efficiency by conducting POC and limitedtime FinOps assessment projects.
• Ensure continuous improvement by tracking savings,measuring performance, and driving accountability across teams.
• Demonstrate a strong cost-optimization mindset, consistently identifying opportunities to recommend at least 20-30% savings across the cloud platform.
• Drive ownership and accountability to ensure realization of 15-20% actualcost savings through execution, tracking, and continuous follow-up.
• Should take initiative independently and be a strong team player who actively supportsand contributes to the learning and growth of others.

Qualifications:

• Required:
• Overall, 10 Years of working exp. on cloud platform out of that 5+ yearsof experience in cloud FinOps service management.
• Bachelor’s degreein computer science,Engineering, or a related field.
• FinOps Certified Practitioner or FinOps Certified Professional certification will be preferred.
• Engineer/Architect levelcertification of CloudPlatform (Azure &AWS).
• Proven experience in cloud cost management and FinOps frameworkand principles.
• Strong understanding of cloudplatforms (Azure & AWS).
• Proficiency in data analysisand reporting tools (e.g., Excel,Power BI).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with cloud cost optimization tools(MyXalytics, Cloudability, CloudHealth, Cloud Native: AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management).
• Flexible to support clientsacross US, UK, and other global time zones.
