Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Chemist to lead research, process development, scale-up activities, and technical support for specialty chemicals and chemical intermediates. The candidate will be responsible for managing laboratory operations, leading a team of chemists, developing robust synthetic processes, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, and ensuring timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead research and development projects for specialty chemicals, fine chemicals, and chemical intermediates.
- Design and optimize synthetic routes for target molecules.
- Develop cost-effective and scalable manufacturing processes.
- Execute laboratory experiments and oversee process scale-up from lab to pilot and commercial production.
- Evaluate reaction pathways, yields, impurities, and process efficiencies.
- Lead technology transfer activities from R&D to production.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, procurement, quality, and business teams.
- Troubleshoot plant and process-related issues.
- Develop and validate analytical methods in collaboration with QC/QA teams.
- Prepare technical reports, batch records, SOPs, and process documentation.
- Monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with EHS, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and develop junior chemists and research associates.

Qualifications
- M.Sc. Chemistry / Organic Chemistry (Mandatory)
