Job summary

Scimplify, a Bengaluru-based specialty chemicals company, seeks a seasoned Principal Scientist to head the Synthetic Chemistry function. You will drive process development, scale-up, and innovation across agrochemicals, pharma APIs, and aroma chemicals, partnering with global clients.

You will lead R&D teams, design cost-efficient scalable processes, transfer tech from lab to pilot and production, ensure safety and quality, and mentor a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• PhD/MTech/MSc in Organic or Synthetic Chemistry.
• Global/MNC experience in Process R&D is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience leading R&D teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead process R&D and synthetic route development for specialty and fine chemicals.
• Design and optimize cost-efficient, scalable chemical processes.
• Drive technology transfer from lab to pilot and commercial scale.
• Lead innovation in Agrochemical intermediates, APIs, and aroma molecules.
• Collaborate with global clients and internal commercial teams to develop custom molecules.
• Build and mentor a high-performing R&D team.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams for process scale-up and commercialization

Role Overview
