Job summary

Symbiosis Management Consultants seeks a skilled professional for Vendor Management & Price Settlement in the forging and gear components domain. The role focuses on developing and commercially strengthening supplier relationships, estimating tooling and capex for new projects, and ensuring cost-competitiveness in procurement.

Responsibilities

• Vendor management & price settlement with suppliers for forging & gear components.
• Evaluate supplier capacity, RFQ, and technical closures with suppliers/ R&D.
• Coordinate with QA team for quality improvement and supplier performance monitoring.
• Assist in APQP/PPAP closures with suppliers.
• Maintain supplier database and relationships for global sourcing opportunities.
• Support cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and cost targets.

Role & responsibilities

1. Vendor Management & Price Settlement

• Development and commercial strong compentecy of Forging & Gear components
• Technically sound in Forging & Gear manufacturing processes - New projects Tooling/Capex estimation
• Capacity evaluation of suppliers - Floating RFQ, technical synthesis closures, DVP closures with suppliers/R&D
• Should have good knowledge & hold of vendor database

2. Quality Improvement

• Capable enough to coordinate with the supplier and QA team for quality improvement
• Monitor Supplier performance to access ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
• Co-ordination with NPD quality team for sample//APQP/PPAP closures
• Quality & Process Assessment for new Suppliers ""
