Job summary

Persistent Systems seeks an experienced Lead Business Analyst in Pune to bridge business and technology teams, drive requirements management, and lead process optimization initiatives.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, write detailed requirements, and facilitate Agile ceremonies in a fast-paced environment, enabling digital transformation projects.

Qualifications

• 12-15 years of experience in Business Analysis, Project Management, or Functional Consulting roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Business Analysis, Agile Scrum, and Project Management.
• Experience writing user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specs.
• Experience in Life Sciences domain is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, BRD and functional specs.
• Facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Analyze existing business processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct process mapping, gap analysis, and impact assessments.
• Work with development, testing, and project teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented.
• Act as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Support product owners and project managers in prioritizing requirements and delivering
• Participate in UAT activities and validate solutions against expectations.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and operational efficiencies.

This role requires the ability to bridge the gap between business and technology teams, translate business requirements into actionable solutions, and drive successful project outcomes. The candidate will play a key role in requirements management, process improvement initiatives, and digital transformation programs within the organization.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements documents, and functional specifications.
• Facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct process mapping, gap analysis, and impact assessments.
• Work closely with development, testing, and project teams to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and implemented.

• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and validate delivered solutions against business expectations.

• Prepare and maintain project documentation, business process documents, and requirement artifacts.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
• Provide post-implementation support and end-user guidance when required.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 12-15 years of experience in Business Analysis, Project Management, or Functional Consulting roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Business Analysis, Agile Scrum, and Project Management.
• Proven experience gathering, documenting, and managing complex business requirements.
• Extensive experience writing user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and Agile delivery frameworks.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
• Strong expertise in business process analysis, workflow mapping, and process improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting workshops, requirement elicitation sessions, and stakeholder interviews.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in Life Sciences domain is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Low-Code/No-Code platforms, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and solution validation activities.
• Knowledge of project delivery methodologies, governance frameworks, and change management practices.
• Ability to identify business challenges and recommend technology-enabled solutions.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in large enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
