Job summary

Vlink in Hyderabad seeks an experienced Payments Production Support Lead with deep Banking & Payments domain knowledge. You will lead a production support team for mission-critical payment applications and provide L2/L3 support, ensuring SLA adherence.

You will write and optimize SQL/PLSQL queries, develop UNIX Shell scripts, mentor teammates, and coordinate with Dev, QA, Infra, and Business units. This role involves on-call duties and weekend deployments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience in Banking/Payments domain.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership or mentoring experience.
• Strong understanding of payment processing life cycle.
• Hands-on experience with SQL/PLSQL and UNIX/Linux.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Production Support team for mission-critical payment applications.
• Provide L2/L3 support for payment systems and ensure SLA adherence.
• Monitor production environments, investigate incidents, and drive timely resolution.
• Perform RCA and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, Infra, and Business teams to resolve issues.
• Support deployments, releases and post-deployment validations.
• Handle incident management, defect triaging and on-call rotations.
• Write and optimize SQL/PLSQL queries for troubleshooting and data validation.
• Develop and maintain UNIX Shell scripts for automation and operations.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure compliance with banking security, audit and operational standards.

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Payments Production Support Lead with strong expertise in the Banking & Payments domain The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience supporting critical payment applications, strong technical skills in SQL/PLSQL, UNIX Shell Scripting, and experience working with payment engines such as GPP, Fedwire, CHIPS, SEPA, SWIFT, or Payment Gateway platforms.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Production Support team for mission-critical payment applications.
• Provide L2/L3 support for payment systems and ensure adherence to SLAs.
• Monitor production environments, investigate incidents, and drive timely resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
• Work closely with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Business teams to resolve production issues.

• Perform impact analysis, defect triaging, and incident management.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Banking or financial services project experience is highly preferred.
