Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in Hyderabad is seeking a Lead Analyst, Financial Operations to oversee operational financial activities, budgeting, forecasting and MIS reporting for the UK Data & Analytics area. You will collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and governance.

You will also manage external providers, perform variance analysis and contribute to cost allocations, rate-card maintenance and period-end processes within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

  • 8 to 14 years’ experience with any graduation.
  • Experience in business management, financial operations, financial planning, MIS or operational management.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, actual-cost analysis and variance analysis.
  • Experience managing or monitoring external service providers, purchase orders, invoices and SLAs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn financial data into clear recommendations.
  • Experience in an Agile or change-oriented environment would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate operational financial activities for the relevant UK Data & Analytics area.
  • Support the design and implementation of business framework and cost-centre structures.
  • Maintain financial processes, templates, controls and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare forecasts and review actual costs, identifying variances, trends, risks and required actions across both Business and Technology.
  • Develop and maintain rate-card calculations, including direct costs and applicable charges.
  • Support the implementation, tracking and ongoing review of charge allocations.
  • Prepare standardised and timely financial management information for the Senior Business Manager, leadership teams and relevant governance forums.
  • Support preparation and documentation of boundary change agreements, coordinating stakeholder inputs / approvals and implementation of relevant system changes
  • Investigate discrete financial issues that may adversely affect business performance and recommend practical remedies.
  • Maintain a clear audit trail for financial assumptions, approvals, decisions and changes.
