Job summary

HSBC is seeking an experienced Assistant Director - Data and Analytics to lead analytics delivery across geographies. You will partner with senior leaders to own and develop analytics applications that drive higher business value and scalable dashboards using Tableau and Python.

• 8+ years of relevant experience in data analytics and analytics delivery.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a reputed university with specialization in numerical discipline or engineering.
• Experience with modern data analytics use cases in hybrid/on-prem environments.

In This Role, You Will Be

• Partner with functional business leaders in owning & developing analytics applications for higher business value
• Translate key analytical solutions as generic and re-deployable across regions / markets
• Design, architect and manage analytics processes and infrastructure and define initiatives with senior management
• Champions changes by partnering with Global / Regional leaders and establish analytics driven business model
• Own delivery of high-quality analytics solutions for the business stakeholders across geographies
• Lead a cross functional team, in an Agile working environment for rapid prototyping, developing and implementing analytics led applications / services.
• Develop and maintain relationships and work well with all levels of management.
• Supports diversity and adapts style and language according to the demands of the situation.
• Proactively supports change initiatives & innovative analytical thinking & solutions that results into improved business performance

To Be Successful You Will Be

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s or master’s degree from reputed university with specialization in numerical discipline and concentration in computer science, information systems or other engineering specializations.
• Experience with modern data analytics and use cases, in hybrid and on-premise environments
• Experience with Tableau & Python is mandatory, also should have experience in building interactive Dashboards from scratch and also experience in migrating excel based Dashboards into Tableau.
• Knowledge on Agile Scrum-master (JIRA)
• Written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas
• Knowledge of financial services and banking domain a plus
